The Atlantic Region Capacity Development Day was a pre-conference event specially targeted to Aboriginal tourism operators and communities in Canada's Atlantic provinces. Everyone was welcome but the focus was on regional topics.

The first day of the International Aboriginal Tourism Conference featured a range of presentations, key-note speakers, workshops and panel discussions. A choice of one of four local Mi'kmaw cultural tours and events completed the day.

Participate in one of the following cultural tours: Membertou, Eskasoni or Wagmatcook Community Hosts. Dinner is included, select option when registering for conference. "Performance by the Mi'kmaq Legends" This option will include appetizers but not a full meal and will be on site in Membertou.

The final day of the Conference featured more informative workshops, key-note speakers, discussions and presentations. The Aboriginal Tourism Association of Canada Awards Gala and Traditional Mi'kmaq Dinner & Performance closed out the conference.
